The next day, you’ll experience the beauty and excitement of the Niagara region on a private day tour. Be starstruck by the grandeur of the world-famous Niagara Falls and then get up close and personal with this natural wonder on a misty cruise. In the afternoon, we make a beeline for the historic and charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake where you can let out your inner wine connoisseur. Sit down to a locally inspired gourmet lunch and then be guided through wine tastings of the region’s top vintages by a professional expert.

The Itinerary
Welcome to Toronto, today you will be met at the airport/train station by a Guided Toronto representative and escorted to your hotel. We can arrange a CN Tower welcome dinner on request.

This morning we will be picking you up from your hotel and bringing on our curated day tour, that brings together everything that makes Toronto great. Discover Toronto’s roots on this tour that traces the city’s beginnings as York, the second capital of Upper Canada, and charts its journey into the multicultural metropolis it is today. We will make this tour primarily by car. Departing from the bustling Union Station and financial district, the tour introduces travellers to the iconic landmarks of Old Toronto, from St. Lawrence Markets to City Hall. The perfect introduction to modern life in the big city.
We head to the cobblestone streets of the Distillery District locked in the 1850’s when Gooderham and Worts was once the largest distillery in Canada and North America. Now filled with a selection of galleries, modern distillers and unique shops. Enjoy lunch in the Distillery District. For the last hour we will check out Toronto’s less buttoned-down neighbourhoods, and Toronto’s art and culture scene.
After the day of touring we will drop you back off to your hotel. Let us know if you like to include a drop off at any of the following sites:
– Tickets up the CN tower, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), or the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)
– Stop at a local micro-brewery or cocktail snack bar
– Narrated boat cruise around the harbour
Your guide will meet you in the morning for your 1:20min – 1:45 hour drive (depending on traffic) to Niagara Falls.
Enjoy a tour of the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, including Clifton Hill, a lovely walk along the Parkway. No trip to the falls is complete without experiencing the Hornblower cruise, that will get you right close to the falls and feel the misty wind and power of mother nature.
After the falls, we will take the parkway drive along the water, and head towards the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Some say it’s also one of Canada’s most picturesque towns.
This afternoon we will stop at Ravine Vineyards for lunch with an optional pairing of it’s award winning wine. This winery restaurant is recognized as one of the top 20 restaurants in the world.
After Lunch, your guide will take you to meet a trained sommelier that can invite you to learn about Ontario’s specialty in the Niagara Valley. Depending on time and interest, the region has a great selection of Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc as well as the famed Ice wine.
Niagara-on-the-Lake was once the first capital of Upper Canada and played a central part in the War or 1812. It was taken by Americans and burnt to the ground, but undaunted by this setback, the citizens rebuilt the town after the war to what it is today. Now it’s a great spot for shopping and taking in some local delicatessens
Depending on time and interest shopping can be arranged prior to making our way back to the big city for dinner.
Today will be your departure and include a transfer to Toronto Airport/Train Station.
